"Reduce Speed, Olivers Hill" offers a familiar journey into Frankston for many Peninsula residents each week. The allure of the upcoming vista often leads to a lapse in slowing down. The Melbourne cityscape across the horizon presents an ever-changing spectacle. Caution is advised to fellow drivers, as a speed camera frequently lurks at the hill's base. In a nod to beloved artists Jeffrey Smart, David Hockney, and Reg Mombassa (Chris O'Doherty), this work stands as an homage. Created in my Peninsula Studio, the hand-painted linocut captures the essence of the drive, infusing elements from these artists' styles to evoke a unique artistic experience.
