Today Danny came over so we could get stuck into her submission for her silkcut competition entry. She used the SilkCut that she was given and brang over her paper and thumb nail sketches for her idea. Here Danny is holding up Stage 1 of her finished print. Tune in next week to see more.
I enjoy helping printmakers in my studio because I always learn something, get some insight into another artists progression and ideas. Also, I love to see how their work unfolds. Its always a great experience to help another printmaker in the print room. I actually got some great prints myself today, prooving that when you do use good paper it really does make a difference.
Tommorrow I start my university degree in my double BA in Fine Art and Visual Culture. I love the idea of being a uni student. I just hope I can fit in study with my own arts practice, teaching and working my part time job.
In between teaching printmaking, I work in an art shop. I am also currently studying for my BA in Fine Art and Visual Culture. Time is precious and in between entering shows and looking after a family, I find my Blogging isn't regular. If you do happen to stop by than please make a comment. I would love to hear from you. I enjoy helping people with their printmaking endevours. Look for me on Facebook. Peninsula Printmakers Group and Australian Printmakers Group. All are welcome to join.
Thanks for stopping by!
