Today I went to see how some of my art was doing at the Derinya Art Show on the Mornington Peninsula. I am happy to say that I have sold a few small pieces.
Thanks to all the Derinya Art Show committee and it was great also catching up with old friends. Elena and Karen that is you! Plus, it was great news to hear my mentor Carol Foster won best Seascape in the show
Maureen Whitaker and Jan Chapman
Two of the Art Committee members are here, Maureen Whitaker with her work was the art co-ordinator and she has done a fabulous job and Jan Chapman who worked tiredlessly to curate and hang the show is with her. The show looked amazing. I can only say one thing, "Next year I am putting in my best and ONLY works". The walls were amazing the new hall was huge and the lighting exceptional. I am going to start painting for next years show.
My Little Red Birds All handpainted birds on fabric. I recycled the frames and painted each one on antic fabric. Sold all three for only......$180.00. Happy for them to have a good home.
In between teaching printmaking, I work in an art shop. I am also currently studying for my BA in Fine Art and Visual Culture. Time is precious and in between entering shows and looking after a family, I find my Blogging isn't regular. If you do happen to stop by than please make a comment. I would love to hear from you. I enjoy helping people with their printmaking endevours. Look for me on Facebook. Peninsula Printmakers Group and Australian Printmakers Group. All are welcome to join.
Thanks for stopping by!
