Printmaking Class today
( A unique print using a matrix)
Today , once again, I avoided typing up art resume and finishing Power Point demonstation, or even reading University Unit sheets, not sigining into the OAU website to see what I coud posibbly teach myself. No that would all too hard. Instead I went to another op shop.
In my printmaking class today I taught Sally and Greer how to have fun a piece of perspex or a piece of zinc plate, making monprints. Then after we all had a sheet or two we went outside and got some leaves to roll ink onto and print on top of the monoprint.
Above see the print that I did, using the students system for the day. We all did well. The leaves we chose changed colour as we put them through the press. The juice in the leaves mixed with the ink turned a brilliant yellow brown without the aid of other colored inks!
In between teaching printmaking, I work in an art shop. I am also currently studying for my BA in Fine Art and Visual Culture. Time is precious and in between entering shows and looking after a family, I find my Blogging isn't regular. If you do happen to stop by than please make a comment. I would love to hear from you. I enjoy helping people with their printmaking endevours. Look for me on Facebook. Peninsula Printmakers Group and Australian Printmakers Group. All are welcome to join.
