BILLY NYE AUSTRALIAN PRINTMAKERBilly is an Australian printmaker and painter based on the Mornington Peninsula. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art and Visual Culture from Curtin University. Her work predominantly explores suburban landscapes, with a particular focus on the iconic Olivers Hill and surrounding areas. Nye’s linocut prints offer her interpretations of favorite locations across the Mornington Peninsula and Frankston city areas. Each piece is individually hand-painted, resulting in unique characteristics and color palettes. Beyond her printmaking endeavors, Nye is actively involved in the local art community. She operates the Peninsula Printmakers Studio, where she conducts workshops and fosters artistic collaboration. Her contributions have been recognized in publications such as Peninsula Essence and Mornington Peninsula Magazine. Nye was also a member of the London Camera Club and previously worked as a real estate photographer in the Hamptons, New York. This experience sharpened her eye for composition and architectural forms, which now informs her detailed suburban landscapes.
