I have been actively engaged in my first Printmaking classes. I have two students who come every Monday to learn printmaking . I have to say, teaching is so rewarding. To see a student get excited about their first print or successful printing day, is so exciting for me. Its almost like you are doing the print, like their success is your success. The best part of teaching printmaking is my philosophy that there is no such thing as a bad print. You can always rescue, re-work or make a print work for you. Through experience and patience, I can help them to see a result, by either keeping the print and working it later or applying another technique to the print right away. I wish I could show you the work they have done, but its always a race to the door, as they leave late, leaving there prints and plates behind them!
In between teaching printmaking, I work in an art shop. I am also currently studying for my BA in Fine Art and Visual Culture. Time is precious and in between entering shows and looking after a family, I find my Blogging isn't regular. If you do happen to stop by than please make a comment. I would love to hear from you. I enjoy helping people with their printmaking endevours. Look for me on Facebook. Peninsula Printmakers Group and Australian Printmakers Group. All are welcome to join.
Thanks for stopping by!
